Mr. Kazuya Endo is Deputy Assistant Minister and Director, Management and Coordination Division, Minister’s Secretariat of the Government of Japan. Having entered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1990, he has held positions of Deputy Director, China Division, Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau; Deputy Director, China and Mongolia Division, Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau; Counsel for Treaties Negotiation, Economic Treaties Division, International Legal Affairs Bureau; Director, First Southeast Asia Division, Southeast and Southwest Asian Affairs Department; Counsellor, Cabinet Secretariat; Director, United Nations Policy Division, Foreign Policy Bureau; Director, First China and Mongolia Division, Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau; Deputy Assistant Minister and  Director, Management and Coordination Division, Minister’s Secretariat Deputy Director-General, Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau. Among diplomatic postings overseas are as Counsellor, Embassy of Japan, China; Counsellor, Embassy of Japan, the United States of America; and Political Minister, Embassy of Japan, China. Mr. Endo has a BA in Law from the University of Tokyo and a MA from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
